First Announcement (December 2009)
Purpose:
To spread knowledge about the ALARO to a wider ALADIN/LACE/HARMONIE community, to discuss and start actions for the further development.
Participants:
ALADIN, LACE and HIRLAM participants, who are a prepared to contribute to the further development and to use in local applications.
Tentative program:
- introduction with an overview
- evaluation of ALARO-0 (local experiences, reporting the current implementations,...)
- ALARO-1 overview of current developments ((moist) turbulence and diffusive transport, radiative and radiative-cloud issues, condensation/evaporation associated processes (including deep convection) ...)
- exercise session (on namelist handling, phasing problems)
- future issues about modularity
- discussion
